The Yuzu (<\/em>\u30e6\u30ba<\/em>) is a citrus fruit of the Rutaceae family, chiefly grown in Eastern Asia and particularly traditional in Japan. It comes from a shrub which is quite resistant to cold climates and grows slowly, taking between fifteen and twenty years to develop. It is a fruit characterized by having thick skin and large pips. Its thick skin has a wonderfully fresh citric smell and a flavour with bitter touches, providing great versatility in the kitchen.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n It dates back more than 1,200 years in China, specifically the Yangtze River region.
